ADM Solar Power has signed a 10 megawatt (MW) captive solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Avener Green to supply clean electricity to its solar module and solar cell manufacturing facility in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The agreement marks an important step towards integrating renewable energy directly into industrial manufacturing operations.
Clean Energy for Solar Manufacturing
Under the captive solar arrangement, electricity generated from the solar plant will be used exclusively to meet a significant portion of the power demand at ADM Solar Power’s manufacturing unit. This move is expected to reduce reliance on conventional grid electricity, lower operational costs and improve energy reliability for the facility.
Captive solar power also offers long-term price stability, helping the company manage energy expenses while safeguarding against fluctuations in fossil fuel-based electricity tariffs.
