India’s renewable energy sector continues to expand rapidly as KP Energy Limited secures a major wind-solar hybrid power project from Enerparc Energy Private Limited in Gujarat. The project highlights growing industry momentum towards integrated renewable solutions capable of delivering stable and efficient clean power.
Hybrid Project to Boost Renewable Capacity
KP Energy has received a Letter of Award (LoA) to develop a 40.8 MW wind-solar hybrid project on a complete turnkey basis. The project combines approximately 20.2 MW of wind capacity with 20.6 MWp of solar power, enabling improved energy generation through complementary renewable sources.
Hybrid renewable projects are increasingly becoming essential in India’s energy transition, as they help balance intermittent solar and wind generation while improving grid reliability.
Turnkey Execution Scope
Under the agreement, KP Energy will handle the entire project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, supply, installation and commissioning. The company will also develop evacuation infrastructure, secure grid connectivity and obtain all necessary statutory approvals required for project execution.
This end-to-end responsibility reinforces KP Energy’s position as an integrated renewable engineering and infrastructure provider in India’s growing hybrid power segment.
Strategic Importance of Hybrid Energy
Wind-solar hybrid projects allow energy production across different weather conditions — solar power during daylight hours and wind generation during favourable wind cycles. This combination improves plant utilisation factors and ensures more consistent electricity output compared to standalone renewable projects.
Gujarat remains one of India’s leading renewable energy hubs due to favourable wind conditions, strong solar irradiation and well-developed transmission infrastructure. These advantages continue to attract large-scale investments in clean energy development.
Strengthening KP Energy’s Project Pipeline
The latest order adds to KP Energy’s expanding renewable portfolio and strengthens its execution pipeline within the hybrid energy space. The company has been actively increasing its presence across wind, solar and hybrid infrastructure projects, supporting India’s transition towards low-carbon power generation.
As industries and utilities increasingly demand reliable green electricity, hybrid renewable systems are expected to play a key role in meeting round-the-clock clean energy requirements.
Supporting India’s Clean Energy Goals
India’s renewable energy roadmap emphasises diversified generation technologies and improved grid integration. Hybrid projects such as this one contribute directly to national sustainability targets by reducing fossil fuel dependence while enhancing power stability.
With continued project wins and integrated execution capabilities, KP Energy is positioning itself as a significant contributor to India’s fast-growing renewable energy ecosystem.
